Fun Fact about Chickasaw Gardens: Most of the street names in Chickasaw Gardens are named after Native American Tribes. A few examples are Cherokee Drive, Iroquois Road, Chickasaw Parkway, and Catawba Lane.

 History and Location:

Chickasaw Gardens is directly North of the Pink Palace between Central Ave and Poplar Ave. The homes in Chickasaw Gardens are built on the same land that was once part of Clarence Saunders' estate. Clarence Saunders invented the grocery stores which we all see today  (the self-service concept of walking into a store and getting your own items) Saunders' originally developed gardens which still exist today and make Chickasaw Gardens a unique community.

Chickasaw Gardens home values range from around $600,000 to upwards of $5,000,000. The community has 24-7 private security on patrol, a lake, and paved walking paths. There is a neighborhood association which maintains an ongoing commitment to the preservation of the integrity and unique characteristics of Chickasaw Gardens.



Regular Meetings of the Homeowners Association


The Chickasaw Gardens Homeowners Association holds two regular meetings each year.  A meeting is held in mid-June each year to present the financial results for the prior year, and a meeting is held in mid-December for the purpose of approving an annual budget for the next calendar year as well as electing Trustees.  Notices of the dates and times of these meetings will be disseminated by email, as well as posted on the Chickasaw Gardens Homeowners Association website. These meetings provide a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors and all Chickasaw Gardens homeowners are encouraged to attend.


The Trustees of the Homeowners Association generally meet once a month to conduct current business and review plan submissions.



Chickasaw Gardens Architectural Review Process

As provided in the Deed Restrictions that govern all homes in Chickasaw Gardens, ANY modifications to the exterior of a home in the neighborhood are subject to review and prior approval by the Trustees under the long established process directed by the neighborhood association’s design review guidelines.   Subject modifications include not only exterior construction, but also changes in exterior paint color, fencing, detached structures, material landscaping, drainage, lighting, and other exterior alterations.

Prior to the commencement of any project, architectural plans, photographs, detailed drawings, and other information should be submitted to the Trustees.

Great importance is placed on the design review process, and it is considered one of the most important elements in maintaining the character, integrity, and beauty of Chickasaw Gardens for the long term benefit of all homeowners.
